Recycled Asphalt Shingles (RAS)
Our unique process creates a superior and consistent product you can depend upon for your hot mix.
IDOT-Approved Type 2-RAS
Hot mix plants need a lab-tested, consistent material month after month. Our track record and lab testing history are proof of our consistency and are available for viewing upon request. With over 20 years of asphalt shingle recycling experience, you can trust Falcon to recycle shingles into a high-quality aggregate. Our current customers include six hot mix plants in northern Illinois and a construction materials manufacture also located in Illinois.
Recycled Asphalt Shingles consist of 4 significant components: asphalt, limestone, trap-rock, and fiberglass. The cost of virgin asphalt justifies the price of R.A.S., few consider that 75%+ of every ton is not asphalt. Asphalt gets most of the attention because of its high value, but the other components have added benefits. Trap rock and fibers are typically high-cost additives in hot mix. When you buy R.A.S., you are getting these additives for free.
